The Study Abroad program at West Texas A&M University will share information about destination options, requirements, choosing a program, housing, the application process and cost. The presentation session will provide you with the base for your research and can be applicable to other university study abroad programs.

Pathways: How to Become a Physician Assistant

Physician Assistant (PA) Studies program prepares students for a career in one of the fastest growing and rewarding health care fields. PA’s are educated through academic and clinical training as medical providers who are licensed to practice medicine as part of the health care team. The pathway session will discuss program competencies, admissions requirements, prerequisite courses, PA responsibilities, and the career outlook.

Transfer Visit Day will introduce prospective students to the resources available at Texas Tech University. The visit will be at the School of Pharmacy located in Amarillo, and students will learn how an AC Associate of Science in Biology prepares students to apply to the school of pharmacy, review the Pharm D curriculum, speak with faculty and students and tour the school.

Texas Tech University Roughneck Boot Camp

Texas Tech University Department of Petroleum Engineering will host a Roughneck Boot Camp, a hands-on experience, where students will inspect industry equipment and have the opportunity to network with top industry experts. Students will tour the Petroleum Building and the Oilfield Technology Center (OTC) and receive a detailed discussion on resume and interviewing skills to prepare for a career in petroleum engineering. 

Arrive at the Petroleum Building at 12:30 PM to register and receive a free T-shirt. Transportation to OTC is provided, but limited.
