Dr. Frank Sobey joined Amarillo College as a full-time instructor in the English Department in 2005. Since then, he has served as the chair of the English Department, dean of arts and sciences, and associate vice president of academic affairs. Currently, he is the Vice President of Academic Affairs. Sobey loves AC and is immensely proud to work for a college so completely devoted to serving students and the Amarillo community.


Becky has served as the Associate Vice President of Learning at Amarillo College in Amarillo, Texas since August 2019. Previous to that time, she worked for Amarillo College as the Dean of Academic Outreach. She started her career at Amarillo College in 2004 as an instructor in the Radiography Program. Becky's current role includes oversight of several services and programs, which includes; all academic programs, high school dual credit, Center for Teaching and Learning, Blackboard administration, and First Year Experience. Becky earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Eastern New Mexico University.

Tina is the Associate Vice President of Curriculum, Planning, and Institutional Effectiveness at Amarillo College. She has served as the Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness & Accreditation (2022-2024) and began her work within Academic Affairs as the Director of Institutional Effectiveness in 2017.  Previous to her work in Academic Affairs, she also served as the Associate Registrar (2010-2016) for the College.  Tina continues to serve as the SACSCOC Accreditation Liaison for the College and has taught for the Criminal Justice department as an adjunct faculty member.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University.
