Program Information

In partnership with Bell Textron Inc., Amarillo College is launching an 8-week Aerospace Manufacturing Pre-Employment Training Program to prepare students for a career as an Assembler Mechanic or an Assembler Technician.

Financial assistance is available through Workforce Solutions Panhandle, making the program accessible for eligible students.

Program Dates: Oct. 27-Dec. 18

Monday-Thursday from 6:00-8:00 PM

Earn Certification in Aerospace Manufacturing and receive a guaranteed interview with Bell.

Participation Requirements

This will confirm that those who complete the course are eligible for hire at Bell if they are selected after the interview.

  • Must submit a criminal background check prior to starting the training program.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.
  • Must be a U.S. person.
  • No previous experience is required; however, preference should be given to candidates with experience in the following fields: Diesel Mechanic, Electrical, HVAC, and Welding.

  1. You will need to contact the Panhandle Workforce Solutions’ office.

*We highly encourage applicants to fill out their application to check financial aid eligibility. The cost of the class is $700. Applicants will also need to undergo a background check. Please do this step as soon as possible. The application and background checks take a few days to process. 

*The Panhandle Workforce Solutions works on applications during Tuesdays at 1:00 pm or Thursdays at 10:30 am. If any of these days don’t work, please contact one of the above-mentioned representatives to schedule an appointment. 

  1. Once your application and background check have been completed, you will be notified. Applicants will need to go physically to the Panhandle Workforce Solutions’ office to pick up a payment voucher and CE registration form. The CE registration form is the Amarillo College form that will need to be filled out in order to get registered for the class. 
  2. You will need to register in person for the class. Crystal Hernandez will assist with registration and payments.
