Christopher George
Christopher George is an instructor of CyberSecurity, Networking, and Digital Forensics. He is a graduate of Amarillo College's Electronic Systems Technologies program and holds a baccalaureate degree from Oklahoma Panhandle State University's Business Management program. He is a 24 year veteran in the field of computing and information technology. He has obtained many global industry certifications including EC-Council's Certified Network Defender (CND), Cisco's CCENT, CompTIA's A+, Net+, Security+, Server+, and Cyber Security Analyst (CYSA+). Along with his CIS colleagues, he helped found and is a current sponsor of the Bash Script Crazy Technology club where he has coached students in numerous National IT Championships hosted by the Association of IT Professionals (AITP), United States IT Collegiate Conference (USITCC), and the National Cyber League (NCL). He has recently helped spearhead and is the Director of the Amarillo College Badger Esports program and has received the 2020 Faculty Excellence Award for Student Engagement. He is the owner of the private IT consulting firm Route 66 Computer Company and from time to time assists his Father with the family farm in his hometown of Hart, Texas. He is passionate about the study of emerging technologies and future technology's potential impact on his community and the world. He loves retro video gaming, vintage computing, cyber capture the flags (CTFs), digital art, and video production.
