Career Pathways

Our Career Pathways Program focuses on matriculating students from our GED and ESL programs into Amarillo College. We also assist in serving students already in college courses to help remove barriers and increase student success. Students can begin their journey on a Career Pathway upon completion of their GED or complete them both at the same time. To accomplish this, our program utilizes a funding pathway called Ability to Benefit (ATB) which allows students to begin college at Amarillo College before completing their GED, by accessing financial aid. Upon successful completion of two classes (6 credit hours), a student is eligible for financial aid. The first two classes are funded by our program, so there is no out of pocket cost to the student.
