4-Corners

4 corners

The Four Corners strategy is an approach that asks students to make a decision about a problem or question. Students move to the corner that best aligns with their thinking

A question is posed and students must pick their corner (A,B,C,D) and be prepared to defend their answer choice.  Each group can discuss its point of view, and select a representative who will speak on behalf of the whole group. Then all four corners take turns stating their cases.  After hearing all sides, the students may move to another corner and change their answer.  In the end the instructor will release the correct answer and justification.

Same as above, but students will choose a “breakout” room labeled A,B,C,D to have their discussions then come back together in the main room to go over each group's justification.
