       Part one of a two-part series, this cohort will explore the rapidly evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education, focusing on its implications for both faculty and students. Participants will gain an understanding of AI fundamentals and examine key tools such as Large Language Models (LLMs).

Learning Objectives:
  • Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications in higher education contexts.
  • Analyze current trends and emerging uses of AI in educational settings, including both faculty and student applications.
  • Critically assess the ethical implications and concerns surrounding AI adoption in higher education.
  • Develop strategies to effectively and responsibly incorporate AI tools into course design and instruction while addressing potential challenges.
