Gallery Walk

Students move about the room as a team to look over, discuss, and give feedback on the products of other teams. The products may be posted, as when they are paintings or writing samples. Or they may be displayed at the team desks. Often a blank feedback sheet is placed by the product so teams can give each other feedback. Sometimes teammates may be asked to split up, each going to a different station so that they can inform each other about different products when they return to their teams.

You can also have students select the sources (e.g., quotations, images, documents, and/or student work), working individually or in small groups. That you would like covered in this lesson. Then, have students organize their thoughts into an infographic. You can have them create a poster or have them create a Google Slide. Post the presentations throughout the room and leave a blank sheet of paper next to them for team feedback. Then have the student rotate with their groups to the other group graphics. Students can leave feedback to the team on their infographic.  To summarize you can ask students to share their impressions or what they learned in a small group or with the whole class.

You can also have students select the sources (e.g., quotations, images, documents, and/or student work), working individually or in small groups. That you would like covered in this lesson. Then, create a slideshow of the sources. If you would like students to be able to comment directly on the sources, create your slideshow using an interactive application such as Google Jamboard or Google Slides. You can share the slideshow with students during a synchronous session or ask them to look through the slideshow asynchronously. If you are using an interactive application, such as Google Jamboard or Google Slides, you can also ask students to leave comments on the sources. Once students have finished viewing the sources, debrief the activity together. You can ask students to share their impressions or what they learned in small group breakout rooms or with the whole class.
