In 2002 Brenda Rossnagel worked with the Amarillo Advisory Commission for People with Disabilities (ACPD) and started the LITE scholarship program for students with disabilities to attend Amarillo
She had a goal to assist in providing accessible education and promote students’ independence through higher education.
Due to her passion and commitment to students with disabilities more than $430,000 has been given to almost 650 deserving students with disabilities who have attend Amarillo College through the LITE scholarship.
Complete an AC Admissions Application: ADMISSIONS APPLICATION
An acceptance letter will be sent to you. When you receive your letter set up your ACNET ID/ Password and AC email account.

Complete the General Scholarship Application: GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
This will take you into the Scholarship Application. Be prepared to provide information about your parent’s finances, such as job titles and income.
Within the application say ‘YES’ to the question asking if you are eligible to apply for ‘LITE’.
