The Drafting Program at Amarillo College utilizes the most up-to-date industry-related software – Autocad, Microstation, Inventor, Chief Architect, etc. – to equip students with all the drafting, architectural, and mechanical know-how that leads to careers success. AC also tailors its Drafting courses to meet specific needs of local business and industry to ensure that program graduates swiftly become valuable members of the area workforce.

What can you do with a Drafting degree?


With this degree, students are prepared to transfer to a four-year program of study to pursue a bachelor’s degree or enter high-paying careers in mechanical and machine design, structural design, manufacturing, or even marine design. Graduates often work with engineers, architects, and senior designers to prepare plans for the manufacturing and construction industries.
