Learn to install or repair heating and air conditioning systems in residences or commercial establishments in Amarillo College’s Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC) program. Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC) is for students who want to learn about heating and cooling for residential and commercial environments. They also learn refrigeration principles in order to install, operate, repair, and maintain equipment for the storage of food. HVAC technicians go into places like small businesses, plants, hotels, hospitals, apartment complexes, public schools, retail outlets, and restaurants to troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment.
