About the IO

The Amarillo College Innovation Outpost is a regional workforce training and education hub serving the Texas Panhandle and neighboring states, focused on advancing economic mobility through industry-led upskilling and reskilling. The Innovation Outpost supports students, working professionals, and regional employers by aligning education and training with current workforce needs and in-demand skills. 

With a strong emphasis on technology, the Innovation Outpost delivers academic and continuing education programs in networking, programming, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and industry-recognized certifications. In collaboration with regional employers and industry partners, the Innovation Outpost designs and delivers customized contract training and grant-funded workforce development programs that address specific workforce gaps, build job-related skills, and support regional economic growth.
