Robin Malone

Currently, Robin serves as the Coordinator for the Legal Studies Program at Amarillo College. As Coordinator, she has challenged students to realize their potential, to achieve goals of graduating and working in the legal community. In 2015, she spearheaded the creation of the first Amarillo College Walkin Legal Clinic to assist students who face legal issues. To date, the Clinic has assisted hundreds of students in various legal issues. In 2017, she received the “Benevolent Barrister” Super Hero Award for her service to Amarillo College Students. Robin Malone is a native of Amarillo, Texas. She received her J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in 1996. She is also a graduate of Amarillo College and Texas Tech University. In 1996, Robin R. Malone began her legal career as a criminal prosecutor for Douglas County, Nebraska. Eventually, she became the supervising attorney over the Domestic Violence Prosecution Unit. During this time, she also worked as an adjunct professor for Creighton University School of Law. Robin R. Malone eventually returned to Amarillo and in 2008, she open the doors of her law practice. During her tenure as a solo practitioner, she navigated those affected by family violence through the legal system by assisting them in seeking and obtaining various legal remedies, including protective orders and child custody and support orders. In September 2018, she was appointed to the Amarillo Independent School District Board as a Trustee. She currently serves as President of the this Board. Robin serves on the Board of Directors for Legal Aid of Northwest Texas and as President Elect of the Board of Directors for Family Support Services. She also serves on the Another Chance House Board of Directors as well as on the North Heights Engagement Committee. Robin is a member of the Amarillo Pro Bono Advocacy Board. She is a member of the Amarillo College Diversity Committee and Amarillo College Assessment Committee. She is the Secretary of Amarillo College Faculty Senate. Robin R. Malone has been committed to serving the community for many years. She has participated in many community service projects. She regularly participates in pro bono legal clinics and workshops. Robin loves spending time with family, traveling, and serving the community. Each day, Robin reminds herself that happiness does not depend on external conditions, instead happiness is attitude driven.
