CONNECTING WITH OTHERS ONE MASTERPIECE AT A TIME

Mass Media programs at Amarillo College are focused on preparing students for viable careers in an evolving media field. To that end, students enrolled in a two-year mass media program are challenged to master basic media skills and to apply those skills within a converged media environment. Associate of Science (A.S.) degrees are designed to satisfy the first two years of a four-year program at a senior institution. Other degrees and certificates prepare students for entry-level positions in social media, online marketing, radio and television stations, newspapers and magazines, production houses and advertising agencies, and much more.

What can you do with a Mass Media degree?

Art critic, TV producer, fashion editor, news reporter, media publicist, radio announcer, environmental journalist, copy writer, talk show host… the list of career opportunities in the world of Mass Media is extensive, varied and growing. Satisfying careers abound. Also, majoring in communication and media studies provides a strong liberal arts background and skills that are appealing to both profit and non-profit organizations.
