Amarillo College has created certificate and degree curricula to meet the evolving needs of the media workforce.
The certificates vary in completion length from approximately three months to two years and create a series of stackable credentials that allow students to continually build upon their skills.
Associate in Science (A.S.) degrees in mass media are designed to satisfy the first two years of a four-year program at a senior institution. Career and technical education degrees (A.A.S.) and certificates prepare students for entry level positions in social media, online marketing, radio and television stations, newspapers and magazines, production houses and advertising agencies and much more.
Applications for AC scholarships are due to the Amarillo College Foundation office before the semester of the award. Students may qualify for both departmental and institutional scholarships. All students are encouraged to apply.
Multiple on-campus student media jobs are available through the student-produced media, including the student-produced newspaper, website and magazine, the 100,000-watt radio station, and the AC Film Crew. Contact faculty members for instructions on how to apply.
