  • Math <41
  • Reading <49
  • Writing<4 essay
     

Co-requisite  Coursework

Scores indicating that developmental coursework is Co-requisite-Accuplacer

  • Math 41-74
  • Reading 49-77
  • Writing 4 Essay or
  • 5 Essay with OBJ<80

No Requisite Coursework

Scores indicating that no developmental coursework is needed

  • Math 75 or higher
  • Reading 78 or higher
  • Writing 6 or higher
     

Instructor Approvals

No instructor approvals are needed. Students should talk to Dr. Kim Hays or Debra Russell if they are interested in this program.

Physical Limitations for Students

Students selecting this major should be in good physical health. Since students will be inspecting welds it is important that they can bend, walk, lift and other physical activities.

Prior to enrolling students should:

  1. Apply to Amarillo
  2. Complete FAFSA (if desired)
  3. Get Bacterial Meningitis Vaccine (if under 30 years of age)
  4. Meet with Academic Advisor

During First Semester students should:

  • Complete New Student Orientation
  • Meet with Disability Services (if desired)
  • Meet with VA office (if desired)
