Students will receive 10 points for each "A" in these courses, 7 points for each "B", and 4 points for each "C".  The points received for each course will then be multiplied by the course credit hours.

For example:

  • "A" - BIOL 2401 = 10 points x 4 hours for 40 points
  • "B" - BIOL 2401 = 7 x 4 hours for 28 points
  • "C" - PSYC 2314 = 4 x 3 hours for 12 points

After calculation of the application scores, the 22 applicants with the highest scores will be selected for entry into the PTA program. In the event of a tie, the reported HESI scores will be used to select applicants to enter the program. Students not selected will be placed on a waiting list and encouraged to reapply the next year.  Students will be accepted off of the waiting list until the first day of fall classes.
