ACCREDITATION:

• JRCERT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology) is the ONLY accreditation agency for radiatioin therapy schools: http://www.jrcert.org/
• To find an accredited program, go to the JRCERT "Find a Program" area at https://portal.jrcertaccreditation.org/summary/accreditedprogramsearch.aspx 
• Note: a program may identify as "Distance" if they offer ANY online classes. The designation of "Distance" does NOT mean the program is 100% online.

CERTIFICATION:

• The ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) https://www.arrt.org/ is the only national agency that certifies radiation therapists through testing and continuing education.
• States that require licensing to become a radiation therapist accept the ARRT certification as their requirement for licensure testing.

NATIONAL PROFESSIONAL SOCIETY:

• The ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) http://www.asrt.org/  serves as the national professional society that advances the field of radiation thearpy and other radiologic technology professionals.
• The ASRT offers continuing education opportunities for members as well as sets the educational curriculum guidelines for radiation therapy programs.
• The ASRT is also deeply involved in professional advocacy, research, and innovation of the field.
