AC to Host Education and Liberal Arts Showcase for High School Students
Amarillo College will host “Heart & Mind: Discover Your Path in Teaching and the Liberal Arts,” an engaging showcase designed to help high school students explore future careers in education and liberal arts fields.
The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, April 27 in Dutton Hall on the Washington Street Campus.
This exclusive experience invites students to take the first step toward their future by connecting with faculty, exploring academic programs, and learning about the wide range of career opportunities available through degrees in education and the liberal arts. Events like this are part of Amarillo College’s ongoing commitment to helping students identify pathways to meaningful careers and continued education.
“Events like Heart & Mind give students a meaningful opportunity to explore how their passions can translate into impactful careers,” said Stephen Crandall, dean of liberal arts at Amarillo College. “Whether they feel called to teaching or the broader liberal arts, we want them to see that these pathways are not only relevant, but essential to building strong communities and shaping the future.”
Participants will gain insight into programs that prepare them for careers in teaching, the humanities, behavioral and social sciences, and other dynamic liberal arts fields, while also experiencing the supportive and innovative learning environment at Amarillo College.
Students interested in attending should plan to register.
