Jill Williams named dean of Moore County Campus Operations
Amarillo College is pleased to announce that Alicia “Jill” Williams has been named dean of Moore County Campus (MCC) Operations, filling the vacancy created by the recent retirement of longtime dean Renée Vincent.
Williams, who in May was elected to a three-year term on the Dumas ISD board of trustees, has for the past year and a half served as assistant director of continuing education and workforce development at the MCC-Technical Campus.
“Jill brings with her years of experience in technical education specific to the Moore County community, staff development and management, a range of experience with community engagement and partnership development, and facilities management,” said Tina M. Babb, AC’s associate vice president of curriculum, planning & institutional effectiveness.
“She has a great understanding and awareness of the needs of the Moore County community,” Babb said. “We are excited for Jill and look forward to the many successes that will come forth from her leadership.”
Prior to joining the AC workforce, Williams was employed by Dumas ISD as an instructional coach.
“AC’s Moore County Campus is a supportive, welcoming space for students to start their educational journey, and I will continue the amazing work that has been the history of this campus as we continue to grow and develop,” Williams said. “The staff and faculty at this campus go above and beyond to help students meet their goals.
“I am excited to come on board and collaborate with Moore County and surrounding communities and help them connect with us at Amarillo College to create even more opportunities for student success in this community.”
