The Tutoring for Success policy applies to any student whose grade or performance in the course falls below a departmentally determined minimum threshold. In either of those cases, the instructor will direct the student to the appropriate tutoring service, which may be faculty-led, discipline-specific, and/or general. Under this policy, the instructor will follow specific departmental guidelines governing the use, duration, and grade component of the tutoring need.
Students who do not attend class on or prior to the census date will be administratively dropped. Effective Fall, 2016
Students who wish to withdraw from a course must complete all steps indicated on the Academic Withdrawal Request form by the course withdrawal deadline.

This withdrawal limitation does not include dual credit or developmental classes (Senate Bill 1231 Rule 4.10.) The Testing center in Warren Hall 112 will be where you may take exams during this term. You will need to have your AC ID with you to take the exam—this is the real card, not the phone app. It is a computer test with nothing except scratch paper. Once you open the exam, you must finish it. Any attempt to cheat during an exam can result in a zero for the exam or worse. The testing center is by appointment for COVID times. If you prefer the testing center, tell me and we will organize the process.
Study and do well because it is the right thing to do for your life and career. If you need help, ASK!! We will do our best to help you.
Effective with the Fall 2007 semester, a new Texas law mandates that students may only drop or withdraw six times in their entire college career. If you transfer to another Texas school, you do not start over; so if you drop four classes at AC, then you only have two drops left. If you drop before the census date, then that does not count in the six drop status. As I understand the law, if you use your six drops and decided to try to drop a seventh class, you cannot do so.
Last Day to Withdraw: 22 April 2021
All work must be completed individually unless otherwise stated. This includes homework and home testing. There are NO open-book tests unless specified. Cheating, cheats YOU! Commission of any of the following acts shall constitute scholastic dishonesty: acquiring or providing information for any assigned work or examination from any unauthorized source; informing any person or persons of the contents of any examination prior to the time the exam is given in any subsequent sections of the course or as a makeup; plagiarism; submission of a paper or project that is substantially the same for two courses unless expressly authorized by the instructor to do so. For more information, see the student handbook.
