The use of Generative Artificial Intelligence on specific assignments is at the discretion of the instructor.

Tutoring for Success applies to any student whose overall performance in the course falls below 75%. The instructor will create the task in the Student Engagement Portal (Watermark) to direct the student to the appropriate tutoring service, which may be faculty- or SI-led, discipline-specific, and/or general. The tutoring service assigned, the due date for when the tutoring must be completed, and the amount of tutoring required are at the discretion of the instructor. Additionally, the task will alert the student’s success team. Students who do not fulfill the assigned tutoring task may be subject to program- and course-specific penalties that could result in a grade reduction and/or in not being allowed to progress in the course until the tutoring requirement has been satisfied.

Students who wish to withdraw from a course must complete all steps indicated on the Academic Withdrawal Request form by the course withdrawal deadline.
NOTE: Students who are attending Texas institutions of higher education, for the first time fall 2007 and later, may not withdraw from more than six courses during their academic career. End-of-Course Outcomes: Demonstrate proper use of the lathe, milling machine, drill press, power saw, and bench grinder applying good housekeeping, proper safety, and preventative maintenance. Projects: Students have two options.
Option 1 NIMS Credentialing. Students choosing to earn NIMS credentials must successfully complete the required part and successfully pass the credentialing exam prior to the last class period. Student must also successfully complete, to print specifications two projects listed in the projects folder, in the Blackboard Class content section of the class.
Option 2 Student projects (Tools). Students who do not wish to earn NIMS credentials will have to choose and successfully complete, to print specifications a minimum of four projects contained in the projects folder, in the Blackboard Class content section of the class.
Homework: Assigned homework is due at the beginning of the first class of the next week. No late homework will be accepted without instructor approval. Homework will consist of Textbook questions, math and theory handouts.
Daily Grade: Attendance, safety, participation.
Final Exam: A comprehensive final exam will be administered.
Attendance in class and lab participation is regarded as a requirement and an obligation for learning. Attendance and participation are graded on the Daily Rubric.
