The Tutoring for Success policy applies to any student whose grade or performance in the course falls below a departmentally determined minimum threshold. In either of those cases, the instructor will direct the student to the appropriate tutoring service, which may be faculty-led, discipline-specific, and/or general. Under this policy, the instructor will follow specific departmental guidelines governing the use, duration, and grade component of the tutoring need.
Students who do not attend class on or prior to the census date will be administratively dropped. Effective Fall, 2016
Students who wish to withdraw from a course must complete all steps indicated on the Academic Withdrawal Request form by the course withdrawal deadline.
NOTE: Students who are attending Texas institutions of higher education, for the first time fall 2007 and later, may not withdraw from more than six courses during their academic career. A study of the operation, hydraulic circuits and electronic controls of modern automatic transmissions/transaxles. Diagnosis, disassembly and assembly procedures with emphasis on the use of special tools and repair techniques. May be taught manufacturer specific.

Students are required to comply with the Amarillo College Technical Education Code of Professional Conduct. The Amarillo College Technical Education Code of Professional Conduct will be posted on the bulletin board in the Transportation Career Center and the Academic Classroom Center and will be explained in detail by the Instructor on the first day of class.

| Students must have 100% attendance and 90% or higher over all grade to not take the final. Finals are the last week of the 8 weeks. Review and cleanup will be Monday and Tuesday of that week. Finals will be Wednesday and Thursday with a BLC cookout Thursday at noon with all instructors and students in attendance. |
