The Tutoring for Success policy applies to any student whose grade or performance in the course falls below a departmentally determined minimum threshold. In either of those cases, the instructor will direct the student to the appropriate tutoring service, which may be faculty-led, discipline-specific, and/or general. Under this policy, the instructor will follow specific departmental guidelines governing the use, duration, and grade component of the tutoring need.

Students who wish to withdraw from a course must complete all steps indicated on the Academic Withdrawal Request form by the course withdrawal deadline.
NOTE: Students who are attending Texas institutions of higher education, for the first time fall 2007 and later, may not withdraw from more than six courses during their academic career. CCNA 7: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials (SRWE) covers the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in small networks and introduces wireless local area networks (WLAN) and security concepts. Students learn how to configure and troubleshoot routers and switches for advanced functionality using security best practices and resolve common issues with protocols in both IPv4 and IPv6 networks.

The 70-hour, instructor-led course is the 2nd of 3 courses in the Cisco CCNA 7 curriculum. The course includes activities using Packet Tracer, hands-on lab work, and a wide array of assessment types and tools

The opportunity to make-up an exam and/or lab will be determined by the circumstances of each individual, permitted at the discretion of the instructor.
The time and place for a make-up test will be determined by the instructor.
Students who miss gradable coursework due to an absence will be given the opportunity to make up the missed work, with the exception of the final exam. The final exam may be taken early if prior arrangements have been made. It is the responsibility of the student to contact the instructor as soon as possible after return to class to arrange to make up missed coursework.

Note: Students must complete packet tracers and chapter exams at home by Sunday before midnight before the next class meeting. All hands-on labs will be performed in class unless otherwise instructed. Late work will be graded at negative 5 points per day after due date. Late work will not be accepted after the 7th late day and will be recorded as a “zero” in the grade book. Exams cannot be made up unless previously approved by the instructor.
