PURSUING THE CUTTING EDGE OF DISCOVERY

Student Resource Page

Advising, learning resources and other links for students. The Biology Program does not enroll students in closed traditional classes due to a fixed limit on seating in the laboratory.

Fall 2014 registration is closed. Fall2 registration is ongoing. You must be registered no later than the last business day before your classes start. .Be sure you are "greenlighted" and register online promptly. Due to limitations in lab space, the Biology program does not add people to closed classes.

Note: Biology laboratory classes meet in the Science Laboratory building at the corner of 24th and Van Buren. Most Biology lectures meet in Warren Hall, but some meet in the new Science Laboratory Building.  Read your schedule carefully.

The Fall Drop deadline is November 18.

We strongly recommend you talk to your instructor before dropping a class (maybe it is not as bad as you think!) Students are responsible for dropping a class they are no longer attending. Students may drop courses using AC Connect up to the drop deadline.

If you are a: Biology major, Pre-nursing major, Biotechnology major, and need advising you may:

  1. Call the Biology Program Secretary (Cherie, 371-5081), Biology Program Coordinator (371-5080), one of your Biology instructors, or Angie Alvarez (371-5444) for an appointment.
  2. Take your chances and come by in person to SCIE and see who is available to help you. You may not find your instructor available, but there is usually someone available who can help you.

The Science Enrichment Center (SEC) is in Warren Hall, Room 110.  345-5536. The Science Testing Center (STC) is in Warren Hall, Room 112.  For further information see the SEC STC page.
