Starting April 22, 2024, our student intake processes, program testing, registration, and Career Navigator services should be fully operational and ready to assist you at our new West Campus location in Building C.
ESL at Career Ready You welcomes you!
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are specifically designed to help you improve your English skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. ACs Career Ready You program welcomes ESL students at every level of expertise - from beginner to advanced. Anyone can enroll in just the ESL portion of Career Ready You without having to meet any college admission requirements.
If you need to improve your English to enter post-secondary academic or career training programs, then English as a Second Language (ESL) for Career Ready You at Amarillo College is the place for you!
The program offers Academic and career-focused, non-credit English classes to citizens, permanent residents, refugees, and others who wish to improve their reading, writing, speaking and listening. Students enrolling only in ESL for CRU courses are not required to meet college admission requirements.
Students in our ESL classes have the opportunity to enroll in GED (now offered in Spanish!) or college classes at the same time. The ESL program can support students as they become Amarillo College students!

ESL Support and Guidance
Students will be supported throughout their academic pursuits by a career navigator, who will provide individual mentoring and instructional assistance.
