How To Request Accommodations
Accommodation Procedures
- Contact Disability Services to request your Accommodation Plan Each semester:
- In-Person – Washington Street Campus, Enrollment Center, Suite 700
- Telephone – (806) 345-5639
- Email – acdisability@actx.edu
- Once you have requested and discussed your Accommodation Plan, your plan will be sent to your AC email.
- You will need to email your Accommodation Plan to each instructor or provide them with a copy in-person.
- Be sure and talk with your instructors about your accommodation needs.
- Your Accommodation Plan may be revised anytime during the semester. Be sure to contact Disability Services for assistance.
- Be sure to request your plan in a timely manner. Please allow up to 5 days to receive your plan.
Testing Procedures
- Be sure and talk with your instructors about your testing accommodation needs.
- Remind your instructor to place your test in the appropriate testing centers / or extend the time online before each exam.
- Make sure the appropriate testing centers are aware of your accommodations.
- On-campus testing must occur in a designated AC testing center.
- Online testing follows the procedures outlined by the instructor.
- Kurzweil / Text to Speech (TTS) – Contact the appropriate testing center to schedule your test. TTS is available on ALL campuses.
- Isolated Testing – Contact the appropriate testing location to schedule your test.
- Scribe – Contact Disability Services at (806) 345-5639 or acdisability@actx.edu to schedule your test.
*Note: All scribes must be trained and employed by AC Disability Services.
