The First Bank Southwest Center (FBSWC) is designed to provide individuals at Amarillo College and the Amarillo Community with opportunities to participate in quality fitness and recreational programs through a comprehensive range of services. FBSWC is also an intercollegiate volleyball venue that is home to the Badger Volleyball team and serves as the venue for athletic games, events and practices.
House rules have been established to ensure maximum enjoyment and usage of the FBSW Center. As members, your constant cooperation is expected and appreciated.
Students and members must scan their membership cards or phone app card upon entering the FBSW Center. Members are required to bring their ID and will not be allowed in without it or verification of membership in our system. A valid form of ID (includes any form of government issued ID, state ID, driver's license, passport, permanent resident card, high school ID, foreign passport) and current digital photo of all members is required for verification of membership cards. A photo will be taken and added to membership records in our membership database.
Guests must purchase a day pass to use the facility.
AC has implemented a clear bag policy for events held at the FirstBank Southwest Center. This policy is designed to enhance safety and ensure an enjoyable experience for event attendees by restricting the size and type of bags permitted.

The following age restrictions apply to children/teens:
Shoes are required in the FBSW Center. Absolutely no hard soled or black marking shoes are allowed on the gym floor. Court shoes are recommended. Please check shoes for rocks and mud before entry. Open-toed shoes are not allowed in the weight room.
Lost/found articles should be turned in to the front desk. Front desk staff will log in lost items and lock them up. Any un-claimed items will be taken to campus police. Members/guests are not allowed to leave personal belongings at the front desk. Amarillo College is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Members may be paged to the phone only in case of an emergency. Written messages may be taken and communicated to members if possible.
Smoking, vaping, chewing or dipping tobacco, and electronic cigarettes are prohibited in the FBSW Fitness Center.
No food or drinks (other than water in a screw-topped container) are allowed in any workout spaces. The only exception to this rule is during athletic events, tournaments and other events where the tournament/event director enforces the food/drink policy.
All disturbances will be reviewed and handled by the FBSW Manager and Executive Director. FBSW has a zero tolerance policy for unsportsmanlike behavior, fighting, profanity, or any other behavior deemed inappropriate by FBSW staff. Conduct of this type is grounds for immediate expulsion from the facility and revocation of membership.
FBSW Fitness Center reserves the right to revoke any membership for any reason it deems necessary.

Holiday hours will be determined by the FBSW Center Manager and communicated in advance.

FM 90 is the only station that the FBSW Center plays on the radio. No private radios or CD players without headphones are allowed. For fitness classes, the teacher may use a sound system to play music through the sound system or they may use their own system.
Volleyball scheduled practices and games will take precedence when scheduling the gymnasiums. Volleyball, Baseball and Cross Country athletes will be using the workout facilities for physical conditioning. During athletic conditioning team workouts, spaces may be shared with members as equipment is available and as is practical. Workout sessions for athletics may be scheduled for exclusive use if necessary.
The Faculty/Staff Locker Rooms are for Amarillo College, Full time benefits eligible faculty and staff only. All other AC employees (part-time, student employees and donor employees) will use the public locker room. The code for the doors will be given out at the front desk.
Members may rent or use day lockers.
It is highly recommended that patrons lock their belongings in the lockers. In the case of theft in the locker room, contact the front desk staff and campus police will deal with the situation. FBSW Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Both men's and women's locker rooms share a common Shower/Restroom area. Shower use is first come first serve. Towels, soap, shampoo etc. must be provided by members.
If the campus closes down because of the weather, FBSW Center will close also.
