Presidential Scholars participate in a weekend cultural excursion to a major metropolitan area each fall and an overseas trip in the spring. Much of the Scholars' overseas travel costs are covered. Travel destinations have included Japan, England, China, Cambodia, India, Lithuania and Poland. The 2018 destination is the Dominican Republic.

The Honors Program also co-sponsors the Spring Break Travel Program. Students with a 2.5 GPA can apply to participate in this educational program. In the past, students have traveled to Venice, Rome, Assisi, Pompeii, Capri, Florence, Munich, Prague and Berlin. Send an email to honors@actx.edu to receive an application and more information about the program.
