Board of Regents Continues Presidential Search
The Amarillo College Board of Regents is moving forward with the process of identifying the next president of Amarillo College.
While neither of the finalists from the initial Spring 2024 search were ultimately offered the position, Regents remain committed to continuing the work of finding the right president to lead the College forward.
While the presidential search continues, Denese Skinner, vice president of student affairs, will continue to serve as interim president.
The original dates posted for the Search Advisory Committee interviews of the semi-finalists and the Board of Regents selecting finalists have been shifted, and the schedule below reflects the date changes as of 10/9/24.

Regents will continue to work with Gold Hill Associates, the executive search firm originally retained by the College.
Search Advisory Committee
A new search advisory committee representing faculty, staff, administrators, students, and community members will be chosen by leadership to provide feedback on candidates—similar to the initial search.
Finalist Forums
Once finalists are named by Regents, they will be hosted on campus for public forums.

Committee receives and evaluates a short list of applications from Gold Hill Associates.
9/23 - 27/2024
Committee narrows field to semi-finalists recommendation.
9/30 - 10/7/2024
Committee interviews semi-finalists and narrows to a group of finalists.
10/14 - 25/2024
Board of Regents selects finalist(s) for on-campus visits.
10/28 - 11/8/2024
Finalist(s) interview on campus and within the community.
11/19/2024
Board of Regents meet to select lone finalist.
December 2024
Board of Regents announces new president.
