Jeff Turner

Jeff Turner, represents Moore County as a non-voting member of the Amarillo College Board of Regents. He was appointed to the Board in May 2024. Turner is the chief executive officer for the Moore County Hospital District, a post he has held since 2008.

Turner is no stranger to public service, nor to Amarillo College – he has served since 2012 on the Advisory Committee for AC’s Moore County Campus. Additionally, he has served as President of the Dumas Chamber of Commerce (2010-2011), was United Way of Moore County’s Fund Drive Campaign Chair in 2014, and he has chaired and continues to serve on the Dumas Lions Club Dogie Day Celebration Prize Wagon Committee.

Under Turner’s leadership, the Moore County Hospital District has received widespread and noteworthy recognition, including a prestigious 5-Star ranking in 2024 from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Turner completed a master’s of science degree in health administration in 1993 at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He and his wife of 29 years, Danielle, have two children ages 22 and 16.
