Peggy Carter Thomas, a 2001 graduate of Amarillo College, has been employed as a certified lymphedema therapist and licensed occupational therapy assistant. She also attended Gulf-Coast Bible College (1980-1982) and Trinity School of Natural Medicine (2006), where she became a certified natural health professional.
A product of Canadian High School, where she graduated in 1980 with honors, she began a six-year term on the AC Board of Regents in 2021.
She has been involved in the community in a number of ways. Through association with Trinity Fellowship Church she has served for a dozen years as a Life Group Leader for singles, and as a facilitator for Whole Again Divorce Recovery Workshop for seven years. Additionally, she has been both a facilitator and a victim impact speaker for Bridges to Life Prison Ministry.
In 2020, Thomas was a campaign volunteer on behalf of President Trump and Ronny Jackson. During the Georgia run-off campaign, she spent 30 days on the front line there.
She is married to Jack Thomas, a longtime employee of Pantex. The couple has 6 children and 12 grandchildren.
