Since opening in 2001, Amarillo College Moore County Campus has been providing a quality college education for students from Moore County and the surrounding Texas panhandle area. Through programs such as QUEST and the TRIO Student Support Services Program, many students have been able to complete a two year degree or certificate program with little or no cost to them. Our workforce training partnerships with local business and industry groups have also assisted many students with their tuition and book purchasing. These programs along with our own Testing Center, Student Activity Center and the addition of our Student Success Center have made it possible for students at Amarillo College Moore County Campus to have a more complete college experience.
Since our opening we have added the Career and Technical Training Center, which houses our Technical Education programs including: Welding, Instrumentation, Truck Driving (CDL), Fork Lift Operator, CNA and many more.
There are also a number of student organizations, including: Lion’s club, P.E.A.C.E. Bible Club, STEM Club, Art Club, Embrace Diversity Club and Moore County Ambassadors. Other activities for the enrichment of our students’ lives are: intramural sports and various service projects which are student led and college-sponsored. If you are new to the community or have never been to the campus, you are welcome to come and tour the facility and meet our staff. We would love to meet you and discuss your current and future educational goals.
Times and days may change, look for announcements around campus and in your e-mail.
Stop by the front desk at the 1st St. campus and make an appointment with your advisor to get registered. Students in technical education programs can get registered at the Career & Technical Center. Questions? Call us at 806-934-7220 or our Technical Campus at 806-379-2726
