2024 Spring Commencement Ceremony

Commencement Ceremony Application:

Potential graduates will be sent a commencement email to their AC student email accounts.  There is no application to attend the ceremony.  Graduates will receive all communications related to their graduation instructions via their student email.  

Students who have not received final graduation instructions by May 6th, but believe that they should be graduating/participating in this ceremony, should contact their advisor.

Final Instructions will be emailed to graduates no later than May 6th.

Spring 2024 Ceremony Date and Times:

Date: May 10th, 2024 (Friday)
Location: Amarillo Civic Center Coliseum
Times: Ceremony times are based on program Community. 

3:00 PM: Health Services, Industry, Public Services

7:00 PM: Business, CIS, Creative Arts, Education, Liberal Arts, STEM Programs

• Purchase your cap and gown at the Badger Central Bookstore.
  Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M, Friday 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
• Associate Degrees:  those earning an associate degree (AA, AS, AAS) may purchase their yokes in the bookstore as well.
• Register with Candid Color Photography for your graduation photo proofs. Registering now enables your proofs to be emailed to you after the commencement ceremony. No purchase is necessary to register to view your proofs.

Summer Graduates:

Summer 2024 graduates will be invited to walk in the Spring 2024 Commencement ceremony once they have registered for their final summer courses. Registrations for Summer 2024 opens Monday, April 8th.

Graduation Application:

Students do not need to apply to be evaluated for graduation. 

Diplomas:

Once all degree requirements are complete and the semester is complete, the record will be updated for graduation purposes. Once a student is officially graduated, we will announce to the student via email how the student can receive the diploma. Attending commencement is not a requirement to receive a diploma.

Students have up to one year to claim the diploma prior to the student being charged a diploma reprint fee. 

Diploma reprints: There is a $15 fee for diploma reprints.  Diploma reprints can be requested using the Diploma Reprint form in the Forms Section of Student Information.
