Application Considerations
Admission Points
Acceptance to the program is based on a point system, outlined below:
GPA points are calculated from the four courses below:
- BIOL 2401
- BIOL 2402
- Microbiology
- Medical Terminology
Points for GPA in the selected courses are as follows:
- A=10
- B=7
- C=4
Total Possible Points = 40
Classes Complete
All courses complete =10 points (No partial points)
- English
- Psychology
- Math
- Language Arts
- Speech
- BCIS
- Physical Education
- First Year Experience
TEAS Exam
- Program applicants must complete the TEAS Exam. Exam results must be within the application period (Jan-May) of the application year.
- Composite score content areas include Math, Reading, Science, and English & Language Usage.
- Only one TEAS attempt is permitted per admission cycle.
- Students will earn a composite score: 0-100 pts
Extra points = 5 points - Students that made the Dean's List (as full-time student)
- A Copy of the Dean's List Certificate will need to be emailed to avaughan@actx.edu
