Jerrod earned his M.A. in Psychology from West Texas A&M University in 2017 with a certification in Neuroscience and completed post-tertiary certification in Counseling from WTAMU in 2018. Since 2017, he has provided clinical services in inpatient and outpatient settings for a variety of mental health challenges. He has received specialized training in cognitive-behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavior therapy skills, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR). Since joining Amarillo Colleges Counseling Center in October 2021, he has deeply appreciated the opportunity to work with college students in removing barriers to their academic success and creating more equitable access to mental health care. Jerrods therapeutic approach emphasizes a collaborative process guided by the clients' personalized goals and strengths. His clinical interests include assisting clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, life changes, relationships, academic stressors, and grief.

Alyssa earned her BA in English Education in 2015 and her MA in Mental Health Counseling in 2020 at WTAMU. In addition to her work with the college population, Alyssa has experience in counseling children, adolescents, and families both in private practice and at a behavioral health hospital. She enjoys working with people across the lifespan and with varying backgrounds and identities. Alyssa’s clinical interests include anxiety, depression, ADHD, boundaries, communication, relationships and trauma.

Sharon earned her MA in Psychology from West Texas A&M University in 2014. She enjoys her interactions with AC students as both a behavioral health counselor in the AC Counseling Center and as an adjunct instructor in the Psychology department. Sharon also provides counseling services to the broader community in private practice. Her chosen therapeutic approaches are rooted in evidence-based practices with an emphasis on safety, empathy, recovery, and collaboration. Sharon has received training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), accelerated resolution therapy (ART), and restoration therapy.
