We offer the following types of assistance for adult students:

Child Care - Students can receive supplemental help with a portion of their daycare expenses while attending classes or clinical experiences. This is done through a contract between the provider and ASP.
Transportation Scholarship - Gasoline reimbursement is available for students commuting from outlying areas.
Textbooks - Students may borrow textbooks from the ASP lending library for the semester they are enrolled in classes at Amarillo College.  Students interested in borrowing textbooks can visit the ARC to pick up a loan form.  Then, students will take that form to the Library staff to borrow the textbooks for the semester.
Tuition Scholarship - Numerous grants and scholarships can be awarded to students based on financial need and demonstrated motivation. Students must register for and complete a minimum of six semester hours of academic course work in fall or spring semesters and three hours in the summer semester with at least a 2.0 G.P.A.
Calculator Lending Program - Currently enrolled students may rent calculators from the ASP lending library for the semester they are enrolled in classes at Amarillo College.  Students interested in renting the device can visit the ARC to pick up a loan form.  Then, students will take that form to the Library staff and rent the device for the semester.

Funding assistance is subject to availability of funds and qualifications.
