Family Friendly Spaces

Need to bring your child with you?

When you need to bring your child with you to campus to study or receive services, these areas welcome you and your child. You will still need to supervise your child while you are in these spaces.

East Campus

  • Academic Success Center (tutoring). Toys and coloring books are available in the waiting area for children to use. Student parents do not study in this space but, the resource is available for their children.

Hereford Campus

  • Space is available in the lobby where there are toys, puzzles and coloring books. It is allowable for students to have the kids with them in class if needed on occasion.

Moore County Campus (Dumas)

  • Coming soon

Washington Street Campus

  • Lynn Library, 4th floor of the Ware Student Commons. The library has family friendly space and activities already in place. They have children's books and board games.  They occasionally have special partnership programming with PBS for activities such as story time.
     
  • The Cafe, College Union Building (CUB). Families are welcome. They will have kid friendly beverages and food. There are games that children, students, and families can play while they are in the space.
     
  • Ware Student Commons, 1st floor. The space is large with many different configurations of study spaces. There will be a spot that will work perfectly for you to study with your kids.  Be sure and bring something for your child to do in this space.
     
  • Academic Success Centers (tutoring). There are 5 different areas on the Washington Street Campus for tutoring depending on your needs. There are Success Centers focusing on Math, Writing, Science, and one for all other subjects. The fifth Success Center helps students review for the TSI, refresh your mind before the start of school on the basics as well as other health science related program resources. Toys and coloring books are available in the waiting area for children to use. Student parents do not study in this space but the resource is available for their children.
     
  • Financial Aid. Toys and coloring books are available in the waiting area for children to use. Student parents do not study in this space but the resource for your children is available while you wait for your appointment.
     
  • Advising. Toys and coloring books are available for children to use. Student parents do not study in this space but the resource for your children is available while you are meeting with your advisor.

West Campus

  • Academic Success Center (tutoring). Toys and coloring books are available in the waiting area for children to use. Student parents do not study in this space but the resource is available for their children.
