Quick Links

Databases

  • Search with ProQuest  Start with ProQuest Power Search if your instructor asks you to find credible, reliable sources, scholarly journal articles, or peer-reviewed articles.
  • Search with Gale – Gale Power Search is best for the simplest, most general coverage, and a great place to get ideas for your topics.
  • Subject Specific Search – If the results from ProQuest and Gale Power searches are too broad or general, try searching in individual, specific databases one at a time. Choose your subject from this list and try each database, one at a time.
  • A - Z Search – If you know the name of your database, use this list.
  • Library FAQs – Jump to the FAQs page for more quick answers.

The Amarillo College Library has partnered with the Billy Bee Flesher Advocacy and Resource Center (ARC) to provide textbooks and calculators available to students free of charge.

Students interested in the textbook loan program from the library must meet with the ARC staff to ensure eligibility into the program. Even students who aren't in the program can check out available materials, starting the 1st day of class.
