HISTORY OF THE FIRM

§        Established 1954 as Shiver and Megert, Architects and Engineers by founding partners Clayton Shiver and Russell Megert – a small practice specializing in commercial and public projects

§        1971, the firm name became Shiver-Megert & Associates, Architecture and Engineering as a result of the addition of partner L. Darrell Fleming and an associate, Cliff Abbott

§        1977, the firm added two additional partners, Cliff Abbott and John D. Abbott

§        1985, the firm reorganized with one partner, Cliff Abbott, withdrawing to enter contracting

§        1987, the firm reorganized with one founder, Clayton Shiver, retiring and moving to Emeritus status

§        1999, the firm reorganized with one founder, Russell Megert retiring and moving to Emeritus/Consultant status

§        2004, the firm reorganized with the addition of two partners, Richard Constancio, Jr. and Jay S. Bingham

§        2005, the firm reorganized with one partner, L. Darrell Fleming, retiring and moving to employee status

§        Currently, the firm has three partners; John D. Abbott, Richard Constancio, Jr. and Jay S. Bingham
