Amarillo College logos, symbols and taglines are registered trademarks through the United States Patent and Trade Mark Office and the property of Amarillo College and must be reproduced from authorized originals or from an electronic file provided by the Communications & Marketing Department.
Any unauthorized use of misleadingly similar names or marks by any entity or individual without the express written consent of Amarillo College will be deemed a violation of the College's rights, and the College will take any and all steps necessary to protect such rights.
Commercial use and reproduction without express written permission is strictly prohibited. This includes use by nonbusiness groups or individuals, employees, charities and other organizations.
Amarillo College logos may be used for any college-sanctioned activity, provided that permission is first obtained from the Communications & Marketing team. Deliberate misuse of any Amarillo College-related identification elements will not be tolerated.
Amarillo Colleges Campus and affiliated groups may not create/display logos and/or tag lines that compete with or replace Amarillo College approved symbols. These standards apply to all visual representations of Amarillo College, including print communications, electronic communications, websites and specialty items.
Do not use any Amarillo College logo or symbol without the registered trademark symbol (Circle "R").
Visual identifiers must be displayed prominently and must be presented according to the guidelines set forth by the Communications and Marketing Department and may not be distorted, altered, combined with any other design to create a new logo, replaced by other artwork, defaced or vandalized in any way. The choice of visual identifier(s) will be determined by purpose, audience and space availability.
The College Seal is only to be used on official College Documents, diplomas and other materials set forth by the Communications & Marketing team.
If you have questions about the use of the College's logos, seal or brand standards, please contact the Communications & Marketing Department.
Two variations of Amarillo College logos(1) the AC Lock-up and (2) AC Bug have been designed and adopted for use on all visual representations of AC, including print communications, advertising, electronic communications, websites and specialty items. The AC Lock-up is always preferred, but in certain applications, the AC Bug may be used. The College Seal is only to be used with express permission from the office of the President's Office.

AC Seal
The minimum size application for the AC Lock-up is 1 1/4 inch width for the stacked logo and 1 inch width for AC's bug logo. Specialty items are allowed with exceptions due to space limitations. Contact Communication and Marketing for approval.
Do not crowd AC's logos. All symbols should retain a protected area that remains free of distracting types or imagery. An area at least the width of the x in Texas should be maintained around the AC logos.
These logos may be used in place of the AC logo on unit-specific materials, such as a college brochure; however, the same usage and color rules must be applied. Because each logo is different and requires special attention to spacing and other graphic details, please email Stefanie Carruth, before using and receiving your approved Departmental or Program logo.
AC and student group events are exempt from selected portions of the Identity System Guidelines. Organizers may use an event-specific font, theme, slogan or artwork as long as it complements and does not alter, deface, vandalize, etc. existing AC visual identifiers. A Request for marketing materials may be submitted from the Request for Services page.
The following examples exhibit prohibited uses of the AC Lock-up and symbols. For art approval and questions about the use of AC's identifiers, contact the Office of Communication and Marketing.
Whenever possible, the AC Lock-up and symbols should appear in AC blue or reversed out of AC blue. Logos and symbols may also appear in black or reversed out of black. No symbols or logos, including departmental logos, may appear in any colors other than AC blue, white or black.
These design examples illustrate the proper use of AC blue, white and accent colors in AC's color palette.
Preferred fonts for AC materials are the font families Breuer, and Helvetica. If these fonts are not available, acceptable alternatives are Arial and Calibri. Regardless of font availability, body text should always be neat, readable and never typed in a "fashion font."
All applications of the AC badger art must be facilitated by Communications and Marketing. Departments, student organizations and individuals are not authorized to use this art without permission from Communication and Marketing.
