The Mission of the Amarillo College Music Department is "to be a center of musical learning and cultural enrichment within the community of Amarillo and the surrounding Panhandle of Texas, by providing a comprehensive two-year musical curriculum for transfer students, elective courses for the non-music major, musical training for younger students, and performance opportunities in various ensembles for students and members of the community."
One of only a handful of 2-year institutions in the nation to be so, Amarillo College is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music. We currently offer an Associate of Science degree in Music which is designed to transfer to any four-year public institution in the state of Texas.
By giving to one of the music funds below or establishing a new one through the AC Foundation, you affirm and make possible the importance of quality music education and performance for young children, college students, and adult learners throughout the Texas Panhandle.
When you include the Amarillo College Music Department, AC Suzuki Program, or other designee in your will, trust, or general estate plans, you make a substantial contribution to our future and continuing success. Please contact the Amarillo College Foundation at (806) 371-5107 or visit https://www.actx.edu/foundation/support-through-estate for more information.
