COVID References for the Music Department and CHT

Social distancing capacities for MB and CHT rehearsal spaces and classrooms:

MB 200: 14
MB 202: 14
MB 204: 14
MB 203:   6
MB 104:  38 at 6' distance, 21 at 8' distance, 9 at 12' distance
MB 102: 22
CHT Auditorium (not including stage capacity): 55 at 6' distance, 31 at 8' distance, 13 at 12' distance
Amphitheater: 100 at 6' distance, 56 at 8' distance, 25 at 12' distance; minimum of 12' clearance between presenter(s) and first row of audience.
CHT Stage: 52 at 6' distance - audience seating must start on row 3 if front row of stage is utilized
Ordway Auditorium Stage: 27 at 6' distance
EXTH Stage: 36 at 6' distance

Faculty Covid Reporting (updated 9/10/2020)

If you have a student with a pending Covid test, positive test, or is self-isolating due to an exposure, email Becky Burton, Becky Easton, and Camille Day Nies and include the following: 

  1. Student's name and ID#
  2. Course name and section
  3. Classroom and building
  4. Date of last face-to-face attendance by the student
  5. Reasons (if any) you feel the protocols of social distancing, masks and proper hygiene were compromised during the time the student was in the classroom

Also email Camille Nies with any Music/CHT rooms that the student had been in.  I will post signs so that others will not enter the space(s) until deep cleaning has taken place.

Below are the current protocols (based on CDC guidelines) for different student scenarios:

  1. Tested positive: The student may return campus 10 days after the day of the test IF the student has no fever or symptoms for 24 hours without any medication.

  2. Symptoms but no test: The student may return campus 10 days after the day symptoms first started IF the student has no fever or symptoms for 24 hours without any medication.

  3. Exposure* but no test: The student may return to campus 14 days after exposure IF the student has no fever or symptoms for 24 hours without any medication.

*Exposure is defined as less than six feet apart for more than 15 minutes, regardless of mask (excluding N95).

Click "Log in" in the top right corner.  In the first block named "Which institution are you from?, look for "Amarillo College" and click on it.  A new box appears (with a blue button), you must USE YOUR amarillocollege.com or actx.edu address to create your account to receive access to the full site. If your email address is valid, you are sent an email with a link to click to choose a password and to log in.

 

NAXOS Library

As faculty at Amarillo College, you have free access to the NAXOS online recordings library. This gives you access to over 30,000 discs and more than 450,000 tracks of musical selections for listening from your computer or other device. Although the site is primarily a classical music library, other styles of music such as jazz and world music (including American folk music) are also available.

NAXOS has an app available through the App Store and Google Play.  Use the AC activation code ACnml11DAU to sign in through the app.

CHT Reservation Calendar

Resource to check availability of the Concert Hall Theatre and/or Common Lobby.  This DOES NOT reserve the CHT for you.  If you are needing to reserve an available, contact Tiffany McDaniel and it will be added to this calendar after approvals have been received. (Must be logged in to your AC Google account to view).
