CONNECTING WITH OTHERS ONE MASTERPIECE AT A TIME

Homero Campos

Homero Campos is an accomplished guitarist, composer, and educator who serves as the Music Lab Supervisor and Instructor of Guitar at Amarillo College. An alumnus of Amarillo College ('01) himself, Homero continued his professional training in Hollywood, California, earning a Bachelor of Music in Commercial Music from the Musicians Institute. He later completed a Master of Arts in Music Composition from West Texas A&M University.

Since joining the Amarillo College faculty in 2007, Homero has dedicated his teaching to developing student technique by bridging classical and jazz disciplines. In 2014, he expanded the college's community reach by launching the highly successful guitar component of the Amarillo College Suzuki Program following specialized training under Suzuki teacher-trainer David Madsen. In addition to guiding the next generation of musicians in the classroom, Homero remains an active, versatile performer in the Amarillo music scene, lending his expertise to classical, jazz, rock, blues, fusion, and musical theatre productions.
