How to Apply for Accommodations 

Steps to apply for accommodations through Disability Services:

Step 1 – Be an AC Student

 If you are not a Current AC Student, visit the Amarillo College Enrollment page.

Step 2 – Complete the Application

You will need to log in to AC Connect to access the Disability Services Application Form.

Step 3 – Submit Acceptable Documentation

Acceptable Documentation Guidelines

  • Is in the form of a report generated by the professional who diagnosed you or currently treats you.
  • Is recent for that disability (typically no more than five years old).
  • Is prepared by an individual qualified to make the diagnosis and includes their credentials.
  • Includes the manner used to evaluate the student, including any standardized testing measures and scores obtained.
  • Provides a diagnosis.
  • Discusses the diagnosis and the student's ability to perform major life activities (functional limitations).
  • Recommends reasonable accommodations.
  • Submit this documentation via email - acdisability@actx.edu 

Step 4 – Intake Appointment Contact

Once we receive the application and documentation, we will reach out to you to set up an intake / accommodation appointment.
