IE DEPARTMENT PURPOSE

• Provide Guidance - Give instructional and non-instructional faculty, administrators, and staff the guidance needed to evaluate programs and/or departmental information and make improvements.
  • Data Provided - Provide Needed Data
    • Partner with Institutional Research to Ensure Standard Program/Department Data Available
    • Provide Program-Specific Survey Information and Assist with Department-Specific Survey Requests
  • Annual Review - Lead Program/Department in Evaluating the Following (Applicable) Information:
    • Completer/Persistence/Etc. Data
    • Competency (Core Objective) Attainment
    • Data Collected by Program/Department
    • Fulfillment of No Excuses Goals (Note: Now Tracked Via Strategic Plan/No Excuses Committee)
    • Outcome Attainment (1) (2)
    • Policy/Procedure Information
    • Strategic Plan Task Fulfillment
    • Survey/Focus Group/Etc. Data

• Assist with SACSCOC Compliance Initiatives (1) (2)
• Partner with Others in Institutional/Community Initiatives
  • Dual Credit, No Limits/No Excuses, etc.

IE History (Before Summer 2013 Reaffirmation)

Before Amarillo College's (AC's) Summer 2013 Reaffirmation of Accreditation, the AC Institutional Effectiveness model included (but was not limited to) the following areas:

• Annual General Education Competency Assessment (rubric evaluation of AC student  competency attainment) - Addressed SACSCOC CS 3.5.1
   
• Annual Planning and Evaluation Tracking (PET) Assessment (student, client, and/or audience outcome assessment) - Addressed SACSCOC CS 3.3.1
