The Federal tax code includes a number of provisions designed to reduce or partially offset the costs of higher education for students and families.
These tax credits are available to taxpayers who paid education expenses for themselves, their spouse, or for their dependent.
Many students do not take advantage of these tax credits that could save them thousands of dollars.
The 1098-T form is provided by the Business Office, Byrd building, first floor, 371-5001.
Eligible students can access the form through AC Connect, under Self Service, Current Student, and Financial Information.
Please see the "Students and parents -- Why Form 1098-T is important to you?" flyer provided by the IRS to determine your eligibility for education tax credits.
